Job description

Description:

The Machine Operator will ensure machinery is set up, works properly, and conforms with (and can produce materials that conform with) company quality, quantity, and efficiency standards. DSC was established in 1979 and has grown into a specialist in seat frames. With the acquisition of TS16949 / ISO14001 certification, DSC has been recognized for its quality and technology in automobile seats. Based on accumulated technology and customer trust, DSC is pursuing 'a futuristic first-class company that respects humanity'.

Starting Pay: $13.00 (for the first 90 days)


Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates tools according to instructions, specifications, and standard charts.
  • Studies th work orders, and other specifications to ensure the proper setup sequence is followed.
  • Selects, places, and secures tools.
  • Places and secures workpieces in the proper machine table, holding device, or other appropriate surface using clamps and wrenches.
  • Prepares fixtures and feeding devices, starts machine and engages feed.
  • Observe each machine to verify quality performance.
  • Sets and adjusts necessary controls to regulate machines.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

This list is not intended to be all inclusive. Employees may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Requirements:
  • Understanding of production work.
  • Ability to follow written instructions, and diagrams.
  • Ability to follow proper safety protocols.
  • Ability to determine whether machinery is working properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical/vocational school diploma highly preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a machine operator is preferred.
