A drywall subcontractor works with a construction manager and their team on a building project. In this career, you measure and install sheetrock on to wooden wall frames. Depending on the project, you may also finish the job by taping over the seams of the individual pieces to create an even surface. You also provide other services, such as repair work on an existing structure. You work with a variety of hand tools and other equipment to move the heavy panels. As a subcontractor, you also have business and financial duties to ensure that you receive your pay and maintain consistent work.
