Location: Lubbock, TX
Reports To: Drywall Manager
Employment Type: Full-TimePosition Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Drywall Repair Technician / Drywall Patch Specialist / Handyman to join our team in Lubbock, TX. The ideal candidate has experience repairing drywall, matching textures, performing light construction, and completing general repair work with exceptional attention to detail. This role requires someone who takes pride in delivering high-quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service.Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect damaged drywall, including holes, cracks, dents, and water damage, to determine the most effective repair method.
  • Prepare work areas by protecting furniture, flooring, and surrounding surfaces with drop cloths and masking materials.
  • Measure, cut, install, and secure drywall patches and replacement panels.
  • Tape, mud, and finish drywall seams using multiple coats to achieve a smooth, seamless appearance.
  • Sand drywall between coats and after the final application to create a professional finish while utilizing appropriate dust-control methods.
  • Match existing wall textures, including knockdown, orange peel, smooth, and other common finishes.
  • Prime and paint repaired areas to ensure repairs blend seamlessly with surrounding surfaces.
  • Perform wall tile installation and repair as needed.
  • Complete flooring repairs and installations, including basic flooring projects.
  • Assist with minor concrete repair and finishing work.
  • Perform light construction and general handyman tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment before, during, and after each project.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and team members while providing exceptional service.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in drywall repair, finishing, patching, or general handyman work.

  • Experience with wall tile, flooring, concrete repair, and light construction is preferred.
