Commercial Drywall Estimator – Large Projects ($5MM+)

Location: Bay Area, CA
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our team in the Bay Area, California. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience estimating large commercial drywall projects ($5 million and above) and be proficient with On-Screen Takeoff (OST) and QuickBid (QB) software.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a stable and growing contractor on high-profile projects throughout the Bay Area.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial drywall, framing, and acoustical ceiling scopes

  • Perform digital quantity takeoffs using OST and QuickBid

  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents for scope accuracy

  • Create and submit complete bid proposals and cost breakdowns

  • Attend pre-bid meetings and project walkthroughs as needed

  • Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Assist in value engineering and pricing strategies to ensure competitive bids

  • Work closely with project managers and field teams post-award


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience estimating commercial drywall projects, preferably in California

  • Proven track record estimating large projects ($5MM+)

  • Proficiency in OST and QuickBid software is required

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and trade scopes

  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and math skills

  • Effective communicator with ability to work both independently and in a team environment
