About Our Family
We're a warm, busy, and close-knit family of four in Washington, DC. One of us works from home full-time while the other commutes to the office each day, so our home is an active hub where work and family life naturally overlap. Our two young children bring endless energy and joy to our days, and our wonderful full-time nanny is an important part of our family's routine. We also have a sweet, easygoing Aussiedoodle who happily rounds out the household.
We value a home that feels welcoming, organized, and thoughtfully cared for. Over the years, we've built systems that help everything run smoothly, and we're looking for someone who enjoys maintaining that sense of order and takes pride in the details that keep a household functioning at its best.
More than anything, we're hoping to find a trusted professional who enjoys staying one step ahead, works independently, and finds satisfaction in making everyday life easier for the families they support. We know the right person will become an important part of our household, helping our home continue to run smoothly so we can spend more time enjoying life together.
Who You Are / What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate is someone who naturally takes initiative and enjoys staying one step ahead. You don't wait to be asked-you observe, anticipate needs, and take thoughtful action. You have the mindset of a project manager, creating systems that keep a home running smoothly while paying attention to the small details, whether that's noticing household supplies are running low or keeping everyday spaces organized and functional.
You're an excellent communicator who keeps the family informed without needing constant direction. Whether you've restocked the pantry, coordinated donations, managed vendor relationships, or completed a project, you provide proactive updates that help everyone stay aligned. You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoy maintaining systems-including thoughtfully rotating toys to keep play spaces fresh, engaging, and easy to manage for young children. Our sweet, easygoing Aussiedoodle is an important part of the family, so we're looking for someone who enjoys dogs and is happy to help with their day-to-day care.
You enjoy being part of a family environment and are comfortable working alongside others, especially in partnership with an established nanny. You genuinely love children and are open to stepping in for occasional backup childcare when needed. You're warm, adaptable, and professional, with a collaborative spirit and a positive attitude. Above all, you take pride in being a trusted partner to the family-someone they can rely on to manage both the day-to-day details and the behind-the-scenes coordination that keeps everything running smoothly.
