About the Role
Step into a hands-on leadership position as an AI Tech Lead, driving the successful delivery of next-generation AI experiences for a high-impact marketing website. You will own the technical execution from architecture through production-leading the integration of conversational AI, intelligent widgets, and personalized digital journeys using Drupal and Google Cloud Platform. This role bridges engineering, product, and business teams to deliver visible results, offering unmatched career growth in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with contract-to-hire potential.
Responsibilities
- Translate high-level AI architecture into detailed technical designs, robust implementation plans, and production-ready solutions.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of AI features including chatbots, conversational interfaces, personalized journeys, and intelligent web widgets.
- Integrate advanced AI capabilities into CMS-driven environments, with a primary focus on Drupal and related enterprise content platforms.
- Build and deploy scalable AI services on Google Cloud Platform; quickly adapt existing AWS experience to GCP as required.
- Partner with architects, product leaders, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, align decisions, and ensure delivery aligns with business goals.
- Drive technical execution including sprint planning, risk and issue management, testing, release, and production support.
- Establish engineering best practices for scalability, performance, security, observability, and responsible AI.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design/code reviews, and improve overall team performance and delivery quality.
- Define, track, and improve success metrics-engagement, conversion, reliability, and user experience-using analytics and experimentation.
- Maintain momentum on an accelerated delivery timeline and ensure seamless cross-functional coordination.
Required Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated leadership in hands-on AI solution delivery within web, digital, or martech settings.
- Agentic AI experience with conversational bots and AI-enabled widgets.
- Deep expertise embedding AI into CMS platforms-especially Drupal.
- Advanced proficiency developing and deploying cloud-based AI solutions, preferably on GCP (AWS considered if able to transition quickly).
- Strong software engineering skills including system design, API integration, and deploying scalable cloud solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, working closely with product and business teams.
- Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, ambiguous, or contract-to-hire environments; remote work capability.
