Job PurposeThe QA Hardware Test Engineer I ensures that products, systems, and components meet technical and compliance requirements. This role supports quality initiatives by developing and maintaining test plans, evaluation procedures, and inspection protocols, while collaborating with engineering and cross-functional teams to ensure reliable product performance and compliance.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and maintain Quality Control documentation, including plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Plan and execute tests at the product, system, and component levels for mobile and fixed devices.
  • Conduct functional, performance, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
  • Participate in product readiness reviews, test result reviews, and evaluations of test programs and methods.
  • Analyze test data and generate detailed Quality Control reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across development, QA, production, compliance, and other teams.
  • Evaluate performance results and recommend changes to improve product performance and compliance.
  • Utilize knowledge of engineering and software/firmware principles to ensure test validity and integrity.
Familiarity with tools for reporting discrepancies, non-conformities, and compatibility issues.


Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in the QA field or in a related area
  • Experience in surface mount soldering and programming with Objective-C, Swift or Java
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
  • Associates degree or higher

  • Schedule: Full-time, Mondayโ€“Friday (8:00amโ€“5:00pm)
  • Location: Irvine, CA โ€“ minutes from John Wayne Airport
  • Local candidates only. Relocation or visa sponsorship (H-1B) is not available.
