Job description

EVT Certified Mechanic

Transdev in Florence County is seeking an experienced EVT Certified Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our assets.

Transdev is proud to offer:

· Competitive compensation package of minimum $24.00 – Maximum $28.00

Benefits include:

· Vacation: minimum of two (2) weeks

· Sick days: 5 days

· Holidays: 12 days; 8 standard and 4 floating

· Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on engines.

· Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.

· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.

· Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.

· Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for engines.

· Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.

Qualifications:

· 1 to 2 years of experience as a Mechanic.

· ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.

· Mechanic’s Tool Set

Physical Requirements:

· The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

· Push and pull objects, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level

· Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
