About This Role

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport children to and from the center, local schools, and approved field trips. The ideal candidate will prioritize student safety, maintain a clean and organized vehicle, and ensure all transportation follows state regulations and company policies. This role also supports smooth transitions during pick-up and drop-off while creating a positive and welcoming experience for children.


What You'll Do
  • Safely transport children to and from the center, local schools, and field trips
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained bus/vehicle
  • Follow all traffic laws, state regulations, and company transportation policies
  • Ensure accurate attendance and accountability of all children during transport
  • Assist children with safe boarding and exiting procedures
  • Communicate effectively with staff and leadership regarding routes, schedules, and concerns
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or maintenance needs promptly

Requirements
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL may be required based on vehicle type)
  • Clean driving record with no major violations
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening
  • Experience driving a bus or transporting children (preferred or required based on needs)
  • Knowledge of basic vehicle safety and inspection procedures
  • Ability to lift, assist, and supervise children as needed
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and attention to safety

Nice To Haves
  • Previous childcare or school transportation experience
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
