About Zipline

Zipline is the world's largest and most experienced drone delivery service. We are on a mission to serve all humans equally by ensuring access to food, medicine and essential goods anytime, anywhere. We design, build, and operate the world's largest autonomous logistics system, delivering critical supplies quickly and reliably. Today, Zipline operates on four continents, makes a delivery somewhere in the world every 30 seconds, and has completed millions of deliveries to date, including blood, vaccines, medical supplies, food, and retail products.

Our customers include the world's largest and most prominent healthcare systems, governments, retailers, restaurants and global businesses who rely on us to save lives, reduce emissions, increase economic opportunity, and provide delivery from point A to point B as fast as possible. The drone is only 15% of what we've built to enable seamless, reliable, global operations.

Our system strengthens supply chains, reduces congestion, and gives people time back. With more than 140 million commercial autonomous miles safely flown, Zipline is redefining access to healthcare, consumer products, and food across the globe.

We operate at a global scale and are looking for practical problem solvers who thrive on real-world challenges and rapid growth. Our team is motivated by building systems that have a direct, meaningful impact on people's lives and by scaling the future of logistics. We are seeking people who sculpt from first principles, enjoy facing adversity, and can do the impossible at record breaking speeds.

About You and The Role

Zipline is expanding the ground systems and site infrastructure that enable autonomous delivery, including Offsite Charging sites and the Zipping Point autonomous loading system. You will own the technical path from customer solution design through permitting, construction, commissioning, and initial operation.

This role sits where customer needs, site realities, product design, and regulatory approvals meet. You will make practical tradeoffs across parallel deployments, resolve roadblocks, and turn field learning into product changes that make future rollouts simpler and faster.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical sales and site solution design with customers, producing layouts, technical documents, specifications, and cut sheets for new and existing infrastructure.
• Own site delivery from initial evaluation through construction, commissioning, and initial operation, coordinating internal teams, customers, contractors, and installation partners.
• Develop preconstruction strategies and secure entitlements, permits, inspections, and approvals with jurisdictions, utilities, planning bodies, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
• Manage parallel site infrastructure and light-commercial construction projects, identifying and mitigating preconstruction, construction, operational, and sustaining risks.
• Source, bid, evaluate, and manage general contractors and subcontractors across construction, assembly, and electrical trades while balancing quality, reliability, schedule, and lean budgets.
• Translate deployment constraints and customer feedback into prioritized product changes with engineering and business teams to accelerate future Ground Systems rollouts.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, real estate development, finance, business administration, urban planning, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience in technical hardware sales, technical product management, real estate development, construction, or a related field.
• Experience designing technical solutions for contractor-installed equipment; experience in light commercial construction is strongly preferred.
• Proven experience navigating infrastructure entitlements, permitting, inspections, and approvals with customer real estate or construction teams and AHJs.
• Experience working with architectural, structural, civil, electrical, or MEP design teams on commercial or industrial development projects.
• Ability to communicate technical decisions through sketches, technical writing, and presentations, while escalating risks, tradeoffs, and opportunities clearly.
• Proficiency with CAD tools for site layouts, indicative construction designs, and technical drawings; based in the METRO region with up to 20% domestic and international travel.

What Else You Need To Know
