Software engineers at Walaris are at the core of our company, tackling complex and mission-critical technical challenges with the latest technologies. They integrate real-time machine learning and image processing systems with advanced hardware and are constantly designing innovative software solutions. Alongside our international teams, you'll tackle diverse challenges in autonomy, systems integration, computer vision, and networking, making critical engineering decisions that directly impact mission and customer success.

For our headquarters in Atlanta, we are looking for a Software Engineer starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Develop real-time AI/ML processing systems for edge sensor signal processing, such as drone detection and automated target recognition
  • Integrate Walaris software and technology into military and commercial security systems to add autonomous capabilities and boost overall system performance
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design through testing and deployment
  • Own the software solutions that are deployed to customers
  • Write code to improve products and scale the mission capability to a greater number of customers
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing innovations to improve our products and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that requirements from R&D, sales, and product management are fully integrated and effectively addressed throughout the development process

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience as a software engineer specializing in real-time, high-throughput data processing, ideally within AI-driven applications
  • Knowledge of object-oriented software development, preferably in Python or C++
  • Background in Linux-based development
  • Proficiency in developing unit tests to ensure code quality
  • Experience working with Docker or other containerization framework
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitLab pipelines or Jenkins

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in frameworks such as PyTorch, Flask, GStreamer, and Deepstream
  • Experience with edge processing
  • Exposure to NVIDIA Jetson devices
  • Experience with NumPy
