Job description

Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an enthusiastic Geospatial Survey Crew Supervisor to join our growing team in Albuquerque, NM. This is a hands-on opportunity to take the lead in the field, supporting a variety of surveying projects for both public and private clients. You’ll gain experience with advanced technology, work alongside seasoned professionals, and build the foundation for a long-term career with a nationally recognized firm celebrated for its innovation and excellence. Responsibilities
  • Plan and perform advanced field surveys within the defined project scope and budget, using the most efficient methods, and in accordance with applicable standards of practice.
  • Interact with project site supervisors and client field representatives.
  • Prepare accurate, detailed field notes and reports of daily activity in a timely manner.
  • Perform in-field calculations for construction stakeout and various land surveys with minimal assistance from office support team.
  • Prepare or receive from the PM, the Health, and Safety Checklists. Review and instruct other crew personnel on all safety hazards, PPE, etc. associated with the work being performed.
  • Maintain, transport, and operate the instruments and equipment associated with surveying land and preparing the job site for a survey.
  • Operate and maintain the survey vehicle in accordance with the Company vehicle manual.
  • Mentor and train junior field staff to facilitate career advancement.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of field survey experience and at least 2+ year of experience as a Crew Chief, or equivalent knowledge.
  • Part 107 Drone pilot status.
  • Proficient in use of Trimble R8,R12i receivers.
  • Proficient in use of Trimble TSC 7 controller.
  • Proficient in use of Trimble SX6, SX7 and SX12 total station/Static scanner.
  • Proficient in use of Trimble DiNi digital level system.
  • Knowledge of Trimble Business Center 2025 Software.
  • Knowledge of OPUS processing and integration.
  • Knowledge of Trimble RTX CenterPoint Technology.
  • Knowledge of baseline processing and network adjustments.
  • Knowledge of site calibrations.
  • Knowledge of Grid to Ground processing.
  • Knowledge of Trimble Access software.
  • Experience with or ability to learn the use of 3D scanners.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, with little need for supervision once provided with a work assignment.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record required. MVR will be checked and monitored.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Requires a pre-employment drug screen and will require ongoing participation in the employer's random drug and alcohol testing program.
