Position Overview:

The Drone Assistant supports seasonal agricultural drone operations, assisting with aerial application activities during the peak growing season (summer months).


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with agricultural drone operations during the months of July, August, and September
  • Support the application of cover crops, fungicides, and nutritional products via drone technology
  • Help with drone preparation, maintenance, and post-flight procedures
  • Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements for pesticide application and equipment operation
  • Assist with loading, transporting, and staging materials and equipment
  • Maintain accurate records

Requirements:
  • Ability to obtain a Pesticide Handler’s License
  • Ability to obtain or currently possess a Class B CDL or temporary CDL
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable
  • Interest in agriculture, drone technology, or precision farming
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk and be on feet for 10-15+ hours a day
  • Ability to frequently bend, reach, squat & kneel
  • Ability to go up and down stairs frequently
  • Capable to do repeated actions
  • Works well in a team environment and communicates effectively with coworkers


Schedule: Must be available to work assigned days and hours, will be weather dependent.


Work Environment: This position involves working primarily outdoors.


Travel Requirements: Travel to producer sites will be required. Company vehicle will be available.
