About the Role:
West Main Automotive Repair LLC in Lexington, SC is looking for Automotive Technicians to join our team, from the position of Lube Tech up to Master Tech! This is a great opportunity to bring your mechanical expertise to a shop that values quality work and takes pride in keeping customers on the road. You will be expected to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 to 5:00.  You will get one hour for lunch from 12:00-1:00.  

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic testing on vehicles to identify mechanical and electrical issues
  • Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid flushes
  • Repair and replace brakes, suspension components, steering systems, and drivetrain parts
  • Inspect vehicles and communicate findings and repair recommendations to service advisors
  • Perform engine and transmission diagnostics and repairs
  • Utilize shop equipment and diagnostic tools such as OBD scanners and alignment machines
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work bay in compliance with shop standards
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as an automotive technician or mechanic required
  • ASE certification(s) preferred but not required
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair software
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems including engine, brakes, HVAC, and electrical
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced shop environment
  • Must supply own hand tools; shop equipment provided
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality workmanship
