Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Site Warehouseman (No CDL) to join our team in our Off Site Office. The Site Warehouseman manages the efficient flow of materials and equipment by receiving, inspecting, storing, picking, packing, and maintaining inventory.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stores, removes, loads, and unloads all types of materials from storage bins, pallets, and vehicles that cannot be handled by materials handling devices.
  • Operates manual or mechanical devices, and stocks inventory shelves.
  • Knowledge of computer systems that support material management functions & communications.
  • Reads production schedule, site order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed or received.
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures.
  • Knowledge of construction materials.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment.
  • Safe use and proper distribution of tools and materials.
  • Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
  • Able to log and file record of how much material has been used and distributed.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

  • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies' Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:
  • Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety
  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Five years' experience in the construction industry.
  • Must be able to obtain site & Safety training certifications required for the project.
  • Construction safety practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and HSE guidelines.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required.
  • Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train others on proper work and safety procedures.
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
