Job description

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate prospective driver trainers following the check-in process to assess readiness and capability.
  • Conduct hands-on practical application training related to safety route inspections.
  • Assist in delivering practical application instruction for potential driver trainers.
  • Provide operational support and coverage for the Safety Team as needed.
  • Conduct performance investigations and implement corrective interventions to improve driver outcomes.
  • Evaluate and qualify prospective driver trainers based on established standards and performance criteria.
  • Facilitate and instruct Train-the-Trainer programs and Lifestyle of a Trainer courses.

Position Goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Improve the overall quality and effectiveness of OTR driver trainers through hands-on evaluation, coaching, and development.
  • Increase safety proficiency and performance among OTR drivers who have experienced safety-related issues through targeted training and evaluation.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an OTR Driver Trainer required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively coach and mentor drivers in a one-on-one setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Experience navigating and utilizing internal software systems.
  • Strong classroom facilitation and instructional skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal coaching abilities.
