JOB TITLE: Commercial Truck Driver

EMPLOYER: Hucks Piggyback Service, Inc.

DEPARTMENT: Intermodal Trucking

REPORTS TO: Erin Ward

EFFECTIVE DATE: 12/1/2020

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for transporting and delivering goods to the customer in a safe and timely manner. This position does not handle freight at loading or unloading.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver goods to customers.
  • Records cargo deliveries.
  • Refuels and cleans vehicle.
  • Reports road incidents to the dispatcher.
  • Follows traffic laws.
  • Inspects trucks and record issues.
  • Follows accident procedures.
  • Keeps an activity log and log hours.
  • Reports mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
  • Deliver goods to the location on time.
  • Maintains a positive attitude with customers.
  • Keeps Commercial Driver License up to date.
  • Keeps Medical Certification up to date.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Class A CDL or Commercial Driver License.

  • 2 years verifiable driving experience.
  • Other skills required:
    1. Must pass drug and alcohol test.
    2. Must have clean driving record.
    3. Must provide a medical certificate.
