Job description

Description:

This position requires a CDL class A license. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for safe and efficient operating of trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around the warehouse, yard, factory and between locations in Winchester, VA. The Shuttle Driver will also be required to stage trailers daily for loading and maintain cleanliness of work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The safe and accurate movement of trailers, which would also include the chocking of wheels
  • Movement of trailers between Production, Reprocessing, and Material locations on/off site using the yard truck
  • Assist with unloading finished goods, accurate scanning of product and locations as needed
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance inspections of equipment prior to operating yard truck or forklift
  • Operate equipment within DOT and OSHA guidelines
  • Notify the Warehouse Manager immediately of maintenance issues concerning equipment
  • Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
  • Assist with warehouse functions such as decorating/labeling product for outbound shipment, picking/pulling items needed for production, and maintain cleanliness of warehouse yard and dock areas
  • Complete any tasks or other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • CDL Class A license is required
  • 3 years Class A equipment experience preferred
  • Must possess the ability to pass the OSHA forklift operator training and test
  • Exhibit strong work ethic with high initiative
  • Must have a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
