Job description

Special Needs School Bus Driver


Make a Difference Every Day

Every day, you'll do more than drive a bus, you'll help students with disabilities arrive safely, confidently, and ready to learn, while building real relationships with the students and families you serve.


At 4Seasons Transportation, you'll join a team recognized as one ofCanada's Most Admired Corporate Cultures (2024), a workplace built on safety, compassion, and genuine support for our drivers, not just our students.


What You'll Do:

  • Safely transport students with disabilities to and from school
  • Build positive, professional relationships with students, families, and school staff
  • Create a calm, safe, and supportive environment on your bus
  • Assist students with boarding, seating, and securing mobility devices as needed
  • Complete daily vehicle pre-trip inspections
  • Follow established routes and schedules using GPS and communication technology
  • Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of your assigned vehicle, including washing, fueling, and delivering it for scheduled maintenance


What We Provide:

  • Paid Class 4 licence training, start with your Class 5 and we'll train and support you every step of the way to obtain your Class 4 with S endorsement
  • First Aid/CPR certification training provided, already certified? Even better, but not required

Pay: up to $150/day based on 5-6 hours on the road (split AM/PM routes)


What You'll Need:

  • Minimum 3 years of winter driving experience
  • Full Monday-Friday availability, both AM and PM (6:30-9:30 am and 1:30-4:30 pm)
  • A valid Class 5 (non-GDL) Alberta driver's licence or higher
  • Ability to secure parking for the small school bus at or near your home(we'll walk you through what qualifies)
  • Comfort with light physical duties, such as assisting students on/off the bus and securing mobility equipment
  • A clear driver's abstract, criminal record check, and vulnerable sector check
  • Completion of drug testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
