Position: Dispatcher

Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

Location: Stockton, CA

Schedule: Regular Schedule: 5:00 PMโ€“5:00 AM | Training: Day Shift

Rotation: 5 Days On / 5 Days Off, then 2 Days On / 2 Days Off

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Dispatcher to coordinate daily transportation operations and support efficient, on-time deliveries. This position is responsible for scheduling and monitoring routes, communicating with drivers, responding to changing conditions, and ensuring customer delivery expectations are met.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable making timely decisions in a fast-paced transportation and logistics environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch deliveries based on driver availability, customer requirements, and delivery windows.
  • Coordinate driver assignments and communicate route information throughout the shift.
  • Monitor active routes and track delivery progress in real time.
  • Adjust routes and schedules based on traffic, weather, operational demands, and unexpected delays.
  • Communicate changes, instructions, and support information to drivers.
  • Troubleshoot transportation issues, including delays, equipment concerns, scheduling conflicts, and route changes.
  • Respond professionally to customer inquiries regarding deliveries and order status.
  • Provide timely updates regarding delays or changes that may impact customer deliveries.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver information, and transportation documentation.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, transportation, customer service, and other internal teams to maintain efficient operations.
  • Prioritize multiple time-sensitive tasks while maintaining accuracy.
  • Perform additional dispatch and administrative duties as assigned.
