Driver Jobs encompass a broad range of driving roles across various industries, including trucking, courier, and transportation services. Delivery Driver Jobs are a specialized subset focused on delivering goods directly to customers, often requiring specific delivery experience. While both roles require a valid driver’s license, delivery drivers typically operate smaller vehicles and work in customer-facing environments. Understanding these differences helps job seekers find roles that match their skills and career goals.

  • Assigned solely to you, no slip seating

Freight

  • No-touch dry van, roughly 70% drop and hook
  • Lanes east of I-35, 2,200 to 2,800 miles most weeks
  • 12 days out, 2 days home

Pay

  • Average $1,300 to $1,550 weekly, top performers clear $1,800+
  • $300 paid orientation, hotel and transportation covered

Training

  • Paid mentor program, 4 to 6 weeks, guaranteed pay throughout
  • Full solo pay once training is complete

Benefits (start at 30 days)

  • Medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Company-paid life and disability insurance
  • Employee stock purchase plan
  • PTO builds from day one

Requirements

  • 21 or older, valid Class A CDL, current DOT Medical Card
  • Clean driving record
  • 6 months recent OTR experience, or 120+ hours from an accredited CDL program
  • Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
