About the job CDL A Driver - Paid Training Provided
American Driver is recruiting CDL A drivers in Marianna, FL. Marianna sits on I-10 in Jackson County in the Florida Panhandle - a quiet but strategically located base for drivers running Eastern OTR lanes connecting the Deep South to major freight markets up the coast.
Paid training is included. No prior professional driving experience necessary beyond your CDL and school hours.
How the Training Works:

  • Fully paid 4-6 week program alongside an experienced mentor
  • Live freight from week one - real routes, real deadlines
  • Covers ELD compliance, HOS rules, pre/post trip inspections, and daily operations
  • Weekly paycheck from day one of training
  • After completion, solo pay starts at $0.56 CPM
A Typical Week on the Road:
  • No-touch dry van freight
  • Roughly 60% drop and hook
  • 2,200-2,500 miles per week
  • Eastern OTR lanes with reliable, year-round freight
  • Mix of day and night dispatch based on load availability
What You'll Earn:
  • $0.56-$0.65 CPM depending on experience
  • Most drivers take home $1,200-$1,500 weekly
  • Additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns
  • Automatic pay review at six months
  • $300 orientation pay
  • Direct deposit every week
Home Time:
  • Planned home time every two weeks - consistent and predictable
Equipment:
  • Late-model Freightliner or Kenworth (2022-2025)
  • All trucks equipped with APUs
