As of Jun 16, 2026, the average hourly pay for driver h2b in the United States is $16.27, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $14.18 and $16.59 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What company in Texas is paying truckers $14000 a week?

Driver H2B positions are typically not associated with such high weekly pay rates; earnings depend on factors like experience, routes, and company policies. While some specialized or owner-operator roles may offer high income, earning $14,000 weekly is uncommon and often linked to specific freight types or contractual arrangements. Job seekers should verify pay details directly with employers and consider industry standards for trucking compensation.

Search & Comparison IntentUnderstanding visa options and seasonal workCareer in freight or delivery services

Driver H2B and Truck Driver roles differ mainly in work authorization, environment, and industry focus. Driver H2B is a temporary visa role often linked to seasonal work in hospitality or agriculture, requiring specific visa credentials. Truck Drivers typically hold a CDL and work in freight or logistics industries, with longer-term employment options. Both roles involve driving, but their work settings and visa requirements distinguish them clearly.

What is the H-2B visa for drivers?

The H-2B visa allows temporary non-agricultural workers, including drivers, to work in the United States for a limited period. It is typically used by employers to fill seasonal or peak-demand jobs and requires a valid job offer and labor certification. Drivers seeking this visa must meet specific requirements and obtain approval before working in the U.S.

What jobs pay 2000 a day?

High-paying jobs that can reach $2,000 a day often include specialized roles such as experienced commercial drivers, including certain H2B visa drivers working in industries like transportation or logistics. These positions typically require relevant licenses, extensive experience, and sometimes specialized skills or certifications. Such high daily earnings are usually associated with contract, freelance, or highly skilled roles rather than standard employment.

What are common challenges faced by H2B Drivers, and how can they prepare for them?

H2B Drivers often encounter challenges such as adjusting to new routes, understanding local traffic laws, and adapting to different vehicle types or company protocols. Additionally, working in a new environment may require strong communication skills to coordinate with dispatchers and team members who may have different languages or work cultures. Preparing by researching local regulations, proactively asking questions during onboarding, and building good relationships with colleagues can help H2B Drivers navigate these challenges and succeed in their roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Driver H2B, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Driver H2B, you need a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL), a clean driving record, and familiarity with transportation regulations. Experience with GPS navigation systems, vehicle maintenance procedures, and compliance documentation is typically required. Reliability, strong communication, and adaptability are essential soft skills for managing schedules and interacting with clients or employers. These skills ensure safe, efficient transportation and compliance with legal and company standards, which are critical for success in this role.

What are Driver H2B jobs?

Driver H2B jobs refer to driving positions in the United States that are filled by foreign workers under the H-2B visa program. The H-2B visa allows employers to hire temporary, non-agricultural workers when there are not enough U.S. workers available. Drivers hired under this program may operate various vehicles such as trucks, buses, or delivery vans, depending on the employer's needs. These jobs are typically seasonal or temporary and require applicants to meet specific eligibility and licensing requirements.

Does Walmart offer $110,000 salary to new drivers?

Walmart does not typically offer a $110,000 salary to new drivers. Entry-level driver positions generally have lower starting pay, with salaries increasing based on experience, route, and tenure. High salaries like $110,000 are usually associated with experienced or specialized roles, not initial driver positions.
