Job description

Join our team as a Class A Commercial Truck Driver delivering hay and lumber efficiently and safely operating a semi truck and set of flatbed double trailers across Oregon, Washington & Idaho. As a vital link in our logistics chain, youโ€™ll ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class A commercial trucks with manual transmissions across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Secure freight following FMCSA load securement laws
  • Deliver freight to various locations, including lumber yards, mills, dairy farms and hay fields following planned routes and schedules.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage logs, fuel consumption, and inspection reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any incidents encountered during trips.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driverโ€™s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks in a commercial setting.
  • Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks; experience flatbeds is highly desirable.
