Description Summary/Objective Warehouse (Check In) is a pivotal role responsible for managing the check-in process for delivery drivers. This position ensures the accurate and efficient handling of incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining the flow of operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Primary Responsibilities Facilitate the check-in process for drivers arriving at the distribution warehouse, ensuring timely and efficient processing. Verify driver identification and delivery paperwork, ensuring all required documents are correctly completed and filed. Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate loading and unloading of products, addressing any discrepancies or issues that arise. Maintain accurate records of driver arrivals, departures, and any relevant logistical details in the warehouse management system. Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, answer questions, and resolve any concerns or issues. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization within the check-in area, adhering to safety regulations and company policies. Assist in managing the flow of traffic in the loading docks and the surrounding areas to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with team members and management to develop and implement improvements to the check-in process and overall operational efficiency. Participate in training programs to stay informed about company policies, safety practices, and industry regulations.
