Driver Helper
Company: Waste Connections
Position Summary:
Waste Connections is looking for a safety-conscious Driver Helper to join our team. This role involves assisting the driver with residential and/or commercial route collections while ensuring excellent customer service and efficient operations.
Job Duties:
  • Ride on the back of the truck and assist the driver on collection routes
  • Collect and dump residential and/or commercial waste and recyclables
  • Safely load and unload materials into the truck
  • Navigate routes and assist with directions as needed
  • Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure safe operations at all times
  • Provide courteous and professional service to customers
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures

Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and ride on the back of the truck for extended periods
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Team-oriented mindset

Schedule:
  • Early morning start times (typically 5:00 AM-6:00 AM)
  • Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed
