Each day can present new challenges including route planning, keeping schedules despite unpredictable traffic or weather, and conducting detailed pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections. Drivers also handle required documentation and stay in communication with dispatchers or clients regarding delivery status. The work is autonomous, requiring strong time management and the ability to problem-solve on the road.
