Job description

Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry Stepdown

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

Duration: 8 Weeks (High possibility of extension or permanent placement)

Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts

Pay Range: $1700.00 - $2100.00 Weekly

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is eeking an experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to provide specialized care for cardiac and post-procedural patients in a high-acuity telemetry stepdown environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing cardiac drips, telemetry monitoring, and caring for patients recovering from vascular, electrophysiology, and cardiac procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans

  • Provide care for cardiac and post-procedural stepdown patients

  • Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms continuously

  • Administer and titrate cardiac medications and vasoactive drips

  • Manage patients recovering from vascular, electrophysiology, cath lab, and cardiac procedures

  • Assist with conscious sedation procedures and bedside cardioversions

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards

  • Float to related stepdown units as needed based on patient care requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Ohio RN License or Compact RN License

  • AHA BLS Certification

  • AHA ACLS Certification

  • Completion of an ECG/EKG Rhythm Interpretation Course

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown, PCU, or Intermediate Care experience

  • Strong experience with cardiac drips and vasoactive medication management

  • Excellent critical thinking and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN preferred

  • Experience with Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD)

  • Post-open-heart surgery recovery experience

  • Cath Lab recovery experience

  • Vascular surgery nursing experience
