Equipment Technician – Coffee & Iced Tea Systems

Sea Breeze Coffee and Tea

Location: Sarasota, FL 34243 | Type: Full-Time | Pay: $22–$25/hour

About Us

Sea Breeze Coffee and Tea, established in 1996, provides superior coffee, espresso, tea, and equipment maintenance services to hotels and restaurants along the Gulf Coast of Florida.

Position Summary

We are seeking a mechanically inclined, dedicated individual to join our team as an in-house Equipment Technician. This hands-on, full-time role centers on maintaining and repairing commercial coffee brewing and iced tea dispensing equipment. As performance develops, the role may expand to include on-site equipment installation and setup.

Core Responsibilities — Equipment Maintenance & Repair

• Perform routine preventative maintenance on coffee and iced tea equipment, including cleaning, descaling, and replacing worn parts

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions effectively and efficiently

• Perform necessary repairs on-site, using appropriate tools and technical knowledge

• Accurately document all maintenance and repair activities

• Manage a parts inventory for common repairs and ensure timely ordering of components

Growth Opportunity — Equipment Installation & Setup

Added as a component of the role based on demonstrated performance and skill development.

• Install new coffee brewing equipment (drip machines, espresso machines, grinders) and iced tea dispensing systems per manufacturer specifications and company guidelines

• Ensure proper connections to water lines, electrical outlets, and drainage

• Calibrate equipment for optimal brewing and dispensing performance

• Provide basic operational training to restaurant staff on newly installed equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Technical and mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn (we train in-house)

• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a regular basis

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal technical training or certification in appliance repair or a related field

• Experience in the food service industry

• Familiarity with coffee brewing and iced tea dispensing equipment

• Familiarity with Nespresso Commercial equipment is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• $22–$25 per hour, depending on experience
