Description
This position requires the coordination of the crews that perform different tasks on the oil rig according to the regulations of the oil company, making sure that the work of the crew follows all company policies as well as enforcing rules regarding safety and PPE requirements. DUTIES INCLUDE:
Lead crew meetings on Safe Work Procedures.
Supervise crew on shift during various activities, through progressing of well.

Constantly on the lookout for unsafe conditions or acts.
Report and investigate with the Rig Manager, all accidents on his/her shift.
Document daily activities and drilling progress in Tour Book.
Supervise crew during rig up/out operations. Assist trucking companies with equipment spotting.
Provide Rig Manager with information on parts required, maintaining rig supplies.
Provide on the job training to all rig personnel, in all aspects of operations.
Operate rig floors controls, draw-works, rotary equipment, and pump, and supervises assembly of the drill string.
Learn and adhere to all Company, Customer and Government Safety Policy, Procedures and Regulations.
Ensures that safety and support equipment is functioning properly,
Monitoring the progress of the drilling operation, and communicate with well-site supervisors.
Introduce procedures which may help the crew to work more effectively
Participate in the supervision of rig mobilization and de-mobilization (rig-up and tear-out).
