Description
The Floorhand has responsibility for executing the day to day operations within company guidelines and policies as directed by the senior rig personnel. The Floorhand participates in a variety of activities in repairing, maintaining, cleaning, and operating rig equipment. There may be times when the employee is required to perform tasks other than those specified here. The Floorhand works under the close supervision of the Driller, but reports directly to the Rig Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Education And/Or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of rig based experience preferred
Language Skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English; as well as comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions in English
Reasoning Ability
Ability to stay alert and attentive for up to 12 or more hours a day so as to make safe decisions and use proper judgment.

Position Requirements
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as per the operation which may include any combination of the following:
Steel Toed boots, safety glasses, hard hat, work gloves, chemical apron and gloves, approved respiratory device, face shield, goggles, protective hearing devices, safety harness
Ability to perform work outside with prolonged exposure to the environment, both hot and cold, and may also involve prolonged exposure to wet or damp conditions (working in rain, snow, and sleet)
Ability to have reliable transportation and arrive on time to the assigned worksite
Ability to work 14 days on and 14 days off and/or 20 on /10 off, including holidays, weekends, and/or days and/or nights
