Job description

Crescent is a differentiated U.S. energy company committed to delivering value through a disciplined, returns-driven growth through acquisition strategy and consistent return of capital. Our long-life, balanced portfolio combines significant cash flow from stable production with a deep, high-quality development inventory. Crescent is a top three producer in the Eagle Ford basin and a scaled operator in each of the Permian and Uinta basins. Crescent’s leadership is an experienced team of investment, financial and industry professionals that combines proven investment and operating expertise. For more than a decade, Crescent and our predecessors have executed on a consistent strategy focused on cash flow, risk management and returns. Through disciplined and accretive investments, we have successfully tripled the size of our company since going public in December 2021 while maintaining a strong balance sheet.

Crescent Energy is seeking a Completions Engineering Analyst to support our Completions team through data-driven analysis, performance monitoring, and reporting. This role plays a key part in optimizing completion performance, improving operational efficiency, and supporting both near‑term execution and longer‑term planning. The Completions Engineering Analyst will work closely with Completions Manager, Engineers and field operations, transforming completion data into actionable insights that support daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you’ll do

Partner closely with Completions Engineers and field operations to support completion optimization and operational performance. Analyze completion data to develop dashboards, reports, and performance metrics that identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities. Support completion planning and forecasting through historical data analysis and performance tracking. Monitor, track, and report key completion KPIs, including downtime, cost, and operational efficiency metrics. Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly completion performance summaries for engineering and leadership teams. Support root‑cause analyses, lookbacks, and continuous improvement initiatives by delivering timely, accurate, and actionable data insights.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical), Analytics, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualization or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Spotfire).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly present data and insights to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting oil and gas completions or drilling engineering teams.
  • Working knowledge of completions engineering concepts and workflows.
  • Coding or automation experience (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA, or similar) to analyze large datasets, streamline workflows, or enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Crescent Energy is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender/pregnancy, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, veteran status or any other legally protected status.

Crescent Energy is also committed to compliance with all fair employment practices regarding citizenship and immigration status.
