Job description

Salary: 18.00-19.00

This position exists to assist our drill operators with collecting soil samples in and around the San Antonio area.

Experience preferred but we provide on the job training for the position. Work under the supervision the drill operator.

Your job will primarily consist of:

  • Assisting driller during drilling operation with setting up drill rig, carrying augers and hooking them up to the drill rig and drill stem, cleaning split-spoon samplers between sample intervals, shoveling auger cuttings during drilling operation, and backfilling borings at the end of the drilling operation.
  • Loading and unloading for drilling projects
  • Preparing boring logs and sample containers prior to job, filling sample containers in the field, completing boring logs in the field and collecting samples from the soil sampler.


Qualifications :


Must be willing to work outdoors year-round.

Must be able to repetitively lift 50+ pounds.

Ability to communicate well both orally and in writing with personnel.
