Position Summary

The Tailor is responsible for delivering high-quality garment alterations that ensure exceptional fit and customer satisfaction. This role plays a critical part in The Suit Store’s commitment to craftsmanship, precision, and elevated client experience. The Tailor works closely with the sales team to provide professional fittings, execute alterations accurately, and maintain efficient turnaround times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform professional alterations on suits, tuxedos, dress shirts, and formalwear.
  • Execute pant hemming (plain and cuff), jacket sleeve adjustments, waist suppression, seat adjustments, and garment tapering.
  • Conduct accurate and confident customer fittings.
  • Provide expert recommendations on garment fit and alteration possibilities.
  • Ensure all alterations meet company quality standards.
  • Manage alteration timelines to meet customer pickup dates.
  • Maintain an organized tailoring workspace and proper equipment care.
  • Communicate clearly with store leadership regarding workload and special requests.
  • Support the sales team during peak business periods as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of tailoring or garment alteration experience (menswear preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of suit construction and garment structure.
