Job description

Southern Ohio Medical Center (SOMC) is seeking a Board Certified Urologist to join its well-established, hospital-employed practice as Senior Medical Director. This full-time position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to lead a dedicated team. The role involves a mix of outpatient clinic, surgical procedures, and leadership responsibilities within a supportive environment.

Practice Info

  • Hospital employed practice
  • Staffing includes 2 Nurse Practitioners, 3 Medical Office Assistants, 6 Clinical Staff, 1 Surgery Scheduler, and 1 UDS Technician
  • Case Load: 15-20 patients/day in outpatient clinic
  • 3-4 half day clinics
  • 4-8 procedures/day in the OR
  • Equipment includes Meditech and Dragon Medical One, UDS Machine, 2 Monitors for Cystoscopies, 3-4 Rigid Cystoscopes, 8 Flexible Cystoscopes, Disposable Cystoscopes w/ two monitors and a bovie, and an Ultrasound machine w/ one vaginal/rectal ultrasound probe along with a Trophon

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Senior Medical Director
  • Participate in weekly tumor board meetings
  • Work well with team and staff

Compensation

  • Salaried

Shift & Schedule

  • Full time position
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Office Hours/Work Schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - noon Friday
  • This schedule can be flexed
  • 1:3 call, approx. 17 weeks/year
