Job description

D&G Landscaping is a commercial landscaping and heavy civil construction company based in Greely, Ontario. We’ve worked on major projects across Ottawa, including Parliament, Lansdowne Park, Rideau Street, Elgin Street, and multiple OLRT stations.


We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 450-class excavator for trenching, grading, and material placement
  • Potentially operate a D6 dozer for rough and fine grading, stripping, and backfilling
  • Perform excavation for site development in various ground conditions
  • Assist with bulk earthworks, truck loading, and site preparation
  • Read and follow grade plans and project specifications
  • Work closely with crew members and assist on the ground when required
  • Maintain equipment and follow all safety procedures


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience operating excavators and/or dozers
  • Experience with commercial construction and site grading
  • Ability to read grade plans; GPS experience is an asset
  • Comfortable working in soft ground and hard rock conditions
  • Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player
