Job description

Summary/Objective The Road and Bridge department is looking for a dependable Operator I seeking to contribute strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and operational support skills to a high-performing team. Eager to learn, grow, and assist in maintaining efficient, safe, and compliant daily operations. Duties and Responsibilities Works as part of a crew of Operators as directed by the Foreman, Superintendent, Crew Leader or Operator designated to supervise the crew.

Reports completed job data to the crew supervisor including, but not limited to, labor and equipment time, materials ordered, used, stockpiled or returned. Responsible for the proper upkeep, care and storage of crew-assigned equipment. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as deemed necessary for certain locations.

May be required to work outside of normal business hours. Other duties assigned Required Skills and Abilities Specialized in all light and at least one (1) heavy equipment. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.

Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Follows safety guidelines and policy Education and Experience High School diploma or G.E.D. Licenses and Certifications Must have a Class B Commercial Driver License

Physical Demands and Work Environment Standing-prolonged (more than 4 hours at a time) periods of time, walking, stooping, bending, pulling, reaching. May be required to work outside of normal business hours and in adverse weather conditions with extended hours. Subject to outside environmental conditions.
