Job Purpose:
- The Excavator Operator at 3B Dozer Service LLC is responsible for operating heavy hydraulic machinery to efficiently dig, lift, grade, and move soil, rock, or debris on construction sites. The role demands adherence to safety protocols, accurate reading of blueprints, and effective collaboration with on-site crews to ensure project success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators safely and effectively for trenching, excavating, backfilling, and grading tasks.
- Conduct thorough pre and post-operational equipment inspections to ensure machinery safety and functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including greasing, cleaning, and basic fluid checks, to maintain equipment in optimal condition.
- Complete safety inspections and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute precise excavation tasks.
- Communicate effectively with ground crews, signal persons, and site supervisors to ensure smooth operations and project coordination.
- Maintain physical stamina to lift 50+ lbs and sit to operate controls for extended periods in various weather conditions.
