About the Position
We are looking for a creative Urban Planner to join our dynamic and collaborative team. If you are passionate about shaping vibrant, walkable places, and skilled in crafting site designs - This is the role for you!
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in planning and urban design, with a strong understanding of site master plan design, building massing, and the development of urban design guidelines. This role will support a variety of projects including comprehensive plans, master plans, small area plans, corridor studies, placemaking strategies, and downtown revitalization efforts across the U.S., with a focus on the Southeast.
From sketching ideas to refining design narratives, you will be a key contributor in shaping the public realm, leading design visioning, guiding physical form studies, and supporting placemaking strategies that spark connection and reflect community identity.
This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter who is interested in thinking creatively and wants to make a meaningful impact on cities and communities. This position is based in our Downtown Atlanta or Cobb County office.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or City and Regional Planning (with a design focus)
  • 5-7 years of related experience in physical planning and related disciplines
  • Strong proficiency in ArcGIS, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD and Sketchup
  • Excellent graphic, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with community engagement and the ability to translate community input into visual and physical design ideas
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
