Location

  • Job located in Huron, SD, relocation or commuting is required.

Description

  • Asphalt Paving & Materials Company is a heavy highway paving contractor that operates in South Dakota. We are looking for motivated individuals that would like to help in our hauling operations. That would included hauling mix aggregate into plant sites, and aggregates into construction project sites. We will run our hauling operation historically out of Huron, and De Smet South Dakota.

Payment Structure

  • $28.47 per Hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain your truck and report any malfunctions to your supervisor.
  • Show up to work on time and sober.
  • Keep track of where you worked during the day, as well as any fuel that you used, and document that on your time ticket.
  • Communicate with other drivers to inform them of changes in road conditions or hazards.
  • Keep yourself safe, as well as the traveling public while on the roadway.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner on and off the jobsite.
  • Perform a daily pre-trip inspection on your truck and trailer, report any issues to your supervisor. Issue that will affect the handling of you truck and trailer should be serviced immediately.
  • Assist the mechanic in repairing your vehicle, such as changing a tire, or fixing a tarp.
  • Comply with all company and government regulations and rules.
  • Hooking and unhooking trailers, as well as securing cargo if hauling equipment or supplies.
  • Keep your truck clean, inside, and out, do not let miscellaneous garbage pile up in your cab.
