Job description

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Summary
The Donor Engagement Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with donors, parish partners, foundations, corporations, and community supporters to advance the mission of Father Demsey's Charities. This position supports fundraising efforts through donor cultivation, stewardship, communications, events, and database management, helping to increase philanthropic support and long-term donor engagement.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement donor engagement and stewardship strategies to strengthen relationships with current and prosepcitve donors
  • Manage a portfolio of donors through personalized outreach, meetings, communications, and recognition efforts
  • Support annual fundraising campaigns, appeals, special events, and other development initiaatives
  • Identify and cultivate new donor prospects and opportunities for increased philanthropic support
  • Coordinate donor appreciation activities, stewardship reports, and impact communications
  • Create and distribute donor-focused communications, including newsletters, reports, and campaign materials
  • Maintain accurate donor records and track gifts, pledges, interactions, and stewardship activities within the donor database
  • Generate reports and analyze donor engagement data to support fundraising goals and strategic planning
  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising, donor cultivation, and community engagement events
  • Represent Father Dempsey's Charities at community, parish, and donor events as needed
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership and staff to communicate mission impact and donor opportunities

Job Requirements
  • Bachleor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business, public relations, or a related field preferred
  • Three or more years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, development, sales, customer relationshp management, or a related field
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with donors and community stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiply priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with donor databases, fundraising software, and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
