As a Legal Clinic Manager, your main priority will be to provide accessible, high-quality, and compassionate legal support to community members applying for citizenship, renewing their DACA status, or renewing their Green Cards. You will also be responsible for staying informed on new federal policies that impact clinic clients, building a base of directly impacted community leaders, and mobilizing this base for related legislative lobbying efforts. As a core member of the Immigration Team, you will work closely with colleagues to connect clients to vital community resources, acting as a critical bridge between vulnerable clients, legal counsel, and social services.

• Application Processing
• Client Intake & Document Preparation: Assist clients in gathering information, translating documents, and completing immigration forms.
• Data & Compliance: Maintain accurate, confidential, and up-to-date client files in the case management database in compliance with grant guidelines and legal ethics.

• Relationship Stewardship: Working intentionally with allies to create pathways for easy and equitable access to resources by creating a streamlined process for referring families out to the appropriate support channels.
• Power Building: Conduct routine weekly 1:1s with the purposes of building a base of community members who are directly impacted by immigration laws to become effective leaders, advocates, and spokespersons.
• Transparent Communication: Maintain consistent communication across all internal and external teams to ensure transparency, safety, and shared alignment in all initiatives.

• Direct Advocacy: Organize and prepare community leaders to participate in legislative visits, public hearings, rallies, and press conferences, empowering them to share their stories with media and elected officials.
• Co-Creation: Facilitate community workshops, listening sessions, and advisory councils to ensure programming and advocacy efforts are co-designed with the community, not just for them.

• Grant Stewardship & Collaboration: Partner closely with the Director to manage and execute grant deliverables. This includes attending external meetings, network convenings, and funder briefings related to the grant to ensure our legal clinic remains compliant, visible, and deeply aligned with our funding goals.
• Mentorship & Supervision: Supervise, mentor, and guide program interns dedicated to this work, fostering a supportive environment that helps develop the next generation of immigrant justice cultural organizers.

• Attend and actively participate: In all-staff meetings, team meetings, 1:1’s, org-wide programs/events as required.
• Complete: Timesheets, credit card reconciliation entries, invoices, etc. as necessary in a timely manner.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Social Work, Political Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working in immigration legal services, social work, or a non-profit legal setting.
• Credentials: Prior experience as a Department of Justice (DOJ) Accredited Representative is strongly preferred but not required.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English & Spanish is required.
• Technical Savvy: Proficiency with specialized immigration case management systems and standard G-suite products (Google Workspace).
• Attention to Detail: Absolute precision in filling out forms, tracking deadlines, and managing complex timelines.
• Interpersonal Skills: A high level of empathy, cultural competence, and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive personal narratives.
• Communication: Exceptional active listening skills and the ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple, universal terms.
