Job Description
Your Impact as a Daycare/Trainer
As a Daycare/Trainer, you will provide top-quality care for pets in our Daycare and Training programs, balancing daily physical exercise with mental enrichment. You will focus on the overall goals of the program as well as the individual needs of each pet, emphasizing their emotional well-being. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on pets' lives through structured play, training, and compassionate care.
Your Impact Will Include:
  • Providing Top-Quality Care: You will provide basic care such as feeding, medicating, and hygienic needs, ensuring pets are comfortable and their environment is clean and sanitized.
  • Managing Off-Leash Play: You'll supervise off-leash group play, ensuring appropriate interactions, maintaining a high level of comfort for all pets, and assisting with temperament testing.
  • Training and Enrichment: You will spend daily individual time with assigned pets, teaching new behaviors (sit, stay, come, etc.) and helping them develop positive habits like waiting at gates and loose-leash walking.
  • Delivering Exceptional Client Service: You'll handle check-ins and check-outs, gathering instructions from clients and providing them with daily training progress reports, report cards, and homework.
  • Maintaining a Clean Environment: You will disinfect nap/playrooms daily, perform deep cleaning weekly, launder bedding/toys, and maintain a "fecal-free" zone outdoors.
  • Documenting Progress: You'll complete daily training progress reports and document pet status/well-being in our computer system (Cornerstone).
