Location: Broome County, NY

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour

Position Summary

Broome County is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scanning Clerk to assist with the digitization and retention of county records. This position is responsible for preparing, scanning, organizing, and verifying documents to ensure accurate electronic recordkeeping.

Training will be provided on scanning equipment, quality control procedures, and departmental processes. Candidates who are organized, comfortable using computers, and able to follow established procedures are encouraged to apply.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and organize documents for scanning and digital storage.

  • Scan documents and perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Maintain organized filing and record management systems.

  • Follow established procedures for document handling and retention.

  • Utilize computer systems and electronic storage platforms.

  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned projects.
