Job description

Provides documentation support to funeral homes and crematories validating accuracy and consistency on service documents in a polite, professional manner with a goal to meet and exceed customer expectations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

Documentation Support

  • Uses adept knowledge of state specific laws and Company standard operating policies and procedures for services requested
  • Validates that documents from the funeral home to support requested service complies with state law and Company policies and procedures (a copy of the final paperwork is then kept on file at the crematory, funeral home and in Carepoint)
  • Interprets and evaluates documentation to verify information on all services is completed accordingly with accuracy and consistency
  • Demonstrates quick response to document inquiries and directs customers with clear instructions to correct documentation as needed
  • Maintains professional and cooperative relationships with all customer locations

MINIMUM Requirements

Education

  • High School or GED equivalent

Experience

  • One (1) year experience required  in an fast-paced professional office clerical and customer-focused service capacity

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Working knowledge of office equipment including computers, copiers, and printers at a level consistent with experience.
  • MS Office Suite experience is highly desirable
  • Good oral and written communication skills with management, customers and peers
  • Ability to remain professional, rational and kind in high stress, high demand, and sometimes contentious situations
  • Work independently without direct supervision
