Job Description

Tooling Associate B shift|Mineral Wells, West Virginia|

Compensation:

  • $24.36 per hour

Available Shift:

  • 6am-6pm(2x3x3) B shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Perform minor and major changeovers on thermoforming and related production equipment.
  • Install, remove, and maintain molds, inserts, trim tools, and other tooling required for product changeovers.
  • Set up production equipment and establish first-run parts that meet all quality standards prior to production release.
  • Complete changeover documentation and coordinate with Quality and Production to release equipment for operation.
  • Troubleshoot tooling and equipment issues, performing routine repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
  • Assist Maintenance with diagnosing and resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform basic extrusion operator duties to support inline changeovers and process improvements.
  • Monitor production performance and assist with resolving issues impacting Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to verify tooling and equipment setup.
  • Operate machine control systems and assist with training production operators on equipment operation.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, labor, and parts usage in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist with production or packing duties as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of manufacturing experience required; experience in plastics or thermoforming manufacturing preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment and tooling.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Ability to read and operate machine control systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
