About the Role
This role is well suited for an experienced professional who is result-driven, focused on long-term client relationships, and wants strong operational support and believes in team collaborations.
Responsibilities
  • Perform framing, demolition, and structural repairs for remodel projects (kitchen, bath, basements, etc)
  • Install and finish trim, doors, windows, cabinetry, and flooring
  • Install cabinets, countertops according to layout diagrams/blueprints
  • Measure, cut, and shape materials (wood, drywall, laminate, etc.) with precision
  • Perform or assist in other tasks involved for completing the jobs
  • Ensure work meets local building codes and safety standards
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners about project and progress
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
  • Troubleshoot and problem-solve unexpected issues that arise during remodels (older homes often have surprises)
  • Properly maintain and care for company and/or personal tools and equipment, vehicles and workshop
  • Follow company process and procedures
  • Represent House Doctors' reputation for quality and professionalism on every job, company event and local communities.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in remodeling, renovation, or general carpentry
  • Well skilled in 1 or more areas: framing, finish carpentry, cabinets, doors, flooring.
  • Skills in drywall, painting, tile, light electrical and light plumbing, and stairs are a plus
  • Exterior skills in siding/soffit repairs, metal wrapping, columns, railings, deck and fences are also a plus
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools (saws, drills, nail guns, levels, etc.)
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and materials
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various positions (kneeling, bending, overhead work)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, client-facing demeanor - you'll often be working directly in homeowners' living spaces
