Job description

The MSSU Teacher Education Department is seeking a 12-month Master Instructor, beginning August 17, 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year in the area(s) of Teacher Education. A Specialist or Doctorate in Education or related field is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of five years of successful PK-12 teaching experience with evidence of effective instructional practice and student learning.
  • Minimum of five years of successful administrator experience in a public or private school.
  • Experience supervising teachers and/or teacher candidates, mentoring novice teachers, or supporting educator development.
  • Experience teaching online and/or graduate-level courses.
  • Experience with educator preparation programs, accreditation processes, assessment systems, or data management.
  • Knowledge of Missouri teacher certification requirements and DESE standards.
  • Experience building and sustaining partnerships with PK-12 schools and districts.
