Why this role is exciting

As (Senior) Fleet Support Engineer, you will be instrumental in maintaining, managing and optimizing our platform and network infrastructure for Vay's commercial driverless fleet in Las Vegas. This role requires a unique combination of superb debugging skills, technical expertise, network configuration and troubleshooting. You'll be driving continuous improvement in our system, ensuring robust monitoring and alerts and providing L1 support for our commercial, driverless fleet. Your role is pivotal in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our vehicle and remote driving station fleet which leads to high quality service that our users love.

What you'll be driving
  • L1 support and on-call for incidents and customer support requests involving vehicles, remote driving stations, equipment, network and cloud infrastructure and fleet configuration.
  • Vehicle and remote driving station network infrastructure maintenance
  • Supporting bring-up of new vehicle and remote driving stations
What are we looking for
  • Extensive Linux experience
  • Strong debugging skills for large, complex systems
  • Experience in Python and bash scripting
  • Experience with on-premise network maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (namely GitHub, CircleCI, Jenkins)
  • Understanding and experience in Docker

Nice to have

  • Experience in C and/or C++
  • Understanding of CAN protocol 
  • Familiar with network security concepts
  • Familiar with mobile network and telecommunication technologies (4G/5G)
