Dock & Door Service Technician Duties:

  • Repair and maintain a variety of warehouse, industrial and commercial dock equipment including dock levelers, vehicle restraints, dock seals, and shelters.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot overhead door systems including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, and high-speed doors.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues with dock equipment and overhead doors, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on industrial dock and door systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate installations and repairs, ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Keep accurate records of service calls, maintenance tasks, and inventory of parts and equipment.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on industrial sites and operating equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of dock and door systems.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to industrial dock equipment and overhead doors.

Requirements

Dock & Door Service Technician Requirements:

  • 2+ years in the Dock and Door industry
  • Capable of prioritizing and performing multiple duties
  • Strong communication skills required. Must be fluent in English. Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check and have a valid Driver's License
  • Proficient with Electrical systems and multimeters
  • Detail-oriented and service focused.
